We’re excited to announce the release of our first DVD from the Alaska HDTV series of shows originally shot in HD. This new DVD titled “Year One, Our first catch and release” is released on September 16, 2008. The DVD will include our Hike with Sarah Palin in Juneau, ice climbing inside Wrangell St. Elias National Park, SanitySavers and much more.

Creating a new media channel from the ground up has definitely proven to be a challenge of love, blood, sweat and some tears. Yes, that’s right - I think we may have cried once or twice along the way. One of the most challenging aspects of running a new HD “TV” style show has been the learning curve for potential sponsors and for us too. While new media is quickly becoming old media, there are still significant differences that require both old and new learn something about each other in order for them to productively coexist. It’s funny, I deal with people every day that are still confused about using online video as a marketing, communications or promotions vehicle for their businesses. Several common misconceptions is that “podcasting” is somehow akin to YouTube and that every production equals that of a teenage boy lighting off a bottle rocket from his butthole.
